Been getting wax’s for years today was the worst experience ever Emma at the Haywood location started waxing me I asked her could she be a little more careful and clean swipes. She told me she’s been doing this for years and I explained to her the way she is doing it hurt. She didn’t even get the wax off of me that she put on me she walked out with me being naked on the table and people walking around and told them that she wasn’t gonna continue my wax. As long as I ever got a wax people has always done it it to my liking to make me more comfortable I’ve never experienced such a rude experience my voice was calm cool a collect she was instantly aggressive and started speaking a different language.
Brooke did my first ever Brazilian wax so I was low key nervous! Brooke took care of me. Very straight to the point, but definitely made conversation to make it less awkward and comfortable. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be! Have my second wax appt with her tomorrow.
Korrina is AMAZING!!! I usually don’t do many reviews but I said I would let everyone know and here it is on Google— She made my wax service THE BEST one I’ve had since I ever started waxing, which has been years now. Believe it!!!! Extremely thorough and she knows what she’s doing!! Attention to details! It had been “awhile” since my last wax… I wanted to try somewhere that had evening hours- open til 7pm!! So I tried this place out. Front desk receptionist was sweet and patient during check in and even check out- loved that! Now that I’ve met Korrina and seen her work- she’s excellent- I’m actually excited to come back for my 4 week maintenance visit!!
I've always had a great experience at Rio. Korrina is the best! She's very friendly and cares about her client's health. Made me feel super comfortable when it was my first time ever getting a Brazilian. She's quick but thorough and always does a fantastic job. The facility is always neat and clean. Thanks Korrina and Rio! I will keep coming back as long as Korrina is there.
I have been going to this Rio body wax location for at least 6 months and have had them cancel appointments twice already. Most recently I booked my appointment Monday, Oct 16th for Thursday Oct 26th at 4:05 PM. On Saturday, October 21st I randomly got a text message stating “Thank you for notifying us of your appointment cancellation” I immediately called and said that I had not put in for any cancellation. They apologized and stated that it must have been a system error and said that the appointment was back on the schedule. Fast forward to Wednesday, October 25th (The day before my scheduled appointment) I received a call stating that the wax specialist wanted to change my appointment from the afternoon to the morning after 10:20am or for the day after on Friday at 4:05pm instead. I stated that due to the short notice and my work schedule I couldn’t change from the time I had booked. I also had upcoming plans so Thursday was the latest availability I had to get the appointment. I knew I was leaving work at 3:30pm on Thursday so the appointment was specifically scheduled for that day and time. She said that she would let the wax tech know and that if she didn’t call back then the appointment was still scheduled, and if the wax tech couldn’t do that time she would call back. I was immediately frustrated because again this had already happened with them before, I was not going to be able to leave the middle of my work shift and was not going to be able to get an appointment elsewhere at that short notice. I never received a call back that day, so I thought “Okay good they worked something out”. The next day (the day of my appointment) I received another call saying again that the wax specialist wanted to know if I could come at an earlier time at like 1:00pm I said NO again because it would be in the middle of my shift so they said that she couldn’t do the scheduled appointment. WHY WAS I NOT CALLED BACK AND TOLD THIS YESTERDAY!? Now I believe that they initially tried to cancel the appointment on Saturday and that it wasn’t a system error at all. I get that things happen, emergencies can come up, and appointments sometimes must be rescheduled. However, it is more inconvenient when the people providing the services cancel than if the customer does. They charge a 50% fee if the customer cancels with less than 2hr notice. However, whenever they cancel, they should at least reduce 50% off the next appointment if it’s at least under a 48-hour notice because again a customer can’t simply rearrange their schedule or book somewhere else. When you work a FT job or have upcoming plans and schedule an appointment around the time that works best for you, and they can’t adhere to that time then I simply can’t find another wax specialist that’s available for that time frame in the same day. I have always tipped 25-30%, I schedule in advance, and I never select a specific technician when I schedule an appointment. I list “Any” because I’m not picky and it allows more availability for me to get the time that I KNOW works for me. So, I mainly book late afternoon appointments for days that I leave work early and drive directly over after work, and it’s been twice that technicians have claimed to have to leave early. Again, I know emergencies can happen, but this still reflects poor professionalism for this to have happened twice in less than 6 months with cancellation the day of when you have multiple wax specialists, and the appointments are only booked once a month! Which means out of like only 6 scheduled appointments, 2 have been canceled by them. Now I am unable to get wax at another location and won’t be able to get it done until later next week. I won’t be returning to this location in Greenville again.
Bring celina back, pleaseeeee. I’ve went to two other people since she left and haven’t been happy with my eyebrows after.
Brooke did an awesome job with my waxing. The only star I took away was because they had a broken A.C. that wasn’t fixed for over a month and wish the prices were a bit more reasonable. Otherwise, it was a good experience overall.
I’ve been to this location several times, and Selena is hands-down the best waxing experience I’ve ever had! She was super friendly upbeat quick and as painless as possible! I will definitely be scheduling all my future appointments with her
